The studio

Designing rooms from how they are used

Every project begins with the people who will live in the space. We study light, circulation, and proportion before we choose a single finish, so each room settles into its purpose.

Our practice keeps a close eye on the small things too: the weight of a joinery detail, the grain of a timber panel, the way a textile softens an afternoon. Those decisions shape how a room feels long after the first visit.

Making

Built with specialist hands

Joinery

Timber worked by local joiners

Solid oak and walnut pieces are cut, jointed, and finished in workshops we visit throughout each build, so proportions hold true at full scale.

Stone and metal

Patinated brass and honed stone

Metalworkers and stonemasons hand-finish brass hardware and cut stone surfaces, building up the tactile warmth that defines our interiors.

Ceramics and textiles

Glazes and weaves chosen by hand

Ceramic artisans and textile weavers produce the vessels, rugs, and fabrics we select, each one tested against the light and palette of the room it will join.

Our belief

Architecture and objects share one discipline

We treat a room and the single object placed within it as part of the same composition. Timeless proportion and grounded textures guide both, so a full-scale interior and a tabletop piece speak in one considered voice.
